  • Company Founded
    Dr. Rebekah Gee and Rebecca Kavoussi co-found Nest Health in New Orleans to transform healthcare access for Medicaid families

  • March: $15M Seed Round
    Raised $15 million in seed funding led by 8VC and Blue Venture Fund, with participation from MVP, Health 2047, and Gaingels.

    December: AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana Partnership
    Launched value-based care partnership to serve 7,500 members in greater New Orleans.

  • March: $4M Seed Extension
    Secured additional $4 million in seed extension funding led by SpringTide, with participation from Alumni Ventures and Ochsner Ventures.

  • March: Fast Company Recognition
    Named #10 in Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2025 (Healthcare category).

    May: Inc. Female Founders 500
    Co-founders Dr. Rebekah Gee and Rebecca Kavoussi named to Inc.'s 2025 Female Founders 500 List.

    July: Arizona Expansion
    Partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice to serve 18,000+ Medicaid members across Maricopa and Mohave counties.

    August: $12.5M Series A
    Raised $12.5 million Series A funding co-led by 8VC and Blue Venture Fund, with new investors Amboy Street Ventures, Alumni Ventures, Health 2047, and others.

    November: Series A Round Closes at $22.5M
    Completed Series A at $22.5 million with additional investors including Socium Ventures, Impact America Fund, Hopelab, University Growth Fund, and Luminary Impact Fund. Socium Ventures joins board of directors.

Meet the founder

Dr. Rebekah Gee, MD, MPH, FACOG

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Rebekah Gee is a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist, mother of five, and former Louisiana Secretary of Health. During her tenure as Secretary, she witnessed how healthcare barriers kept Medicaid families from getting care. As a working parent, she understood the struggle of coordinating appointments, childcare, and time off work. She founded Nest Health in 2021 to bring comprehensive care directly into families' homes.
