WHY WE EXIST

Families don't skip care because they don't care.

Nearly half of children and postpartum women on Medicaid miss recommended care, not from lack of concern, but from a system that demands time off work, childcare arrangements, and transportation for every fragmented appointment.

We're the first solution to address that at the household level, bringing integrated medical, behavioral, and social support directly to the home for every family member on Medicaid, with 24/7 access at no additional cost.

Meet the founder

It started with thirteen letters.

When Dr. Rebekah Gee was a teenager, she lost her mom to breast cancer. Her mom left her 13 letters — one to open on each birthday until she turned 30 — encouraging her to find ethical expression in her work.

She became an OB-GYN, a mother of five, and Louisiana's secretary of health. There, she saw how barriers kept Medicaid families from care. As a working parent, she knew the juggle of appointments, childcare, and time off.

In 2021, she and Rebecca Kavoussi co-founded Nest to bring care into families' homes — so fewer daughters lose their moms to illness that could have been caught in time.

Nest is founded in New Orleans
Dr. Rebekah Gee and Rebecca Kavoussi co-found Nest to transform healthcare access for Medicaid families.
March: $15M seed round
Raised $15 million in seed funding led by 8VC and Blue Venture Fund, with participation from MVP, Health 2047, and Gaingels.
December: AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana Partnership
Launched value-based care partnership to serve 7,500 members in greater New Orleans.
March: $4M Seed Extension
Secured additional $4 million in seed extension funding led by SpringTide, with participation from Alumni Ventures and Ochsner Ventures.
March: Fast Company Recognition
Named #10 in Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2025 (Healthcare category).
May: Inc. Female Founders 500
Co-founders Dr. Rebekah Gee and Rebecca Kavoussi named to Inc.'s 2025 Female Founders 500 List.
July: Arizona Expansion
Partnered with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Health Choice to serve 18,000+ Medicaid members across Maricopa and Mohave counties.
August: $12.5M Series A
Raised $12.5 million Series A funding co-led by 8VC and Blue Venture Fund, with new investors Amboy Street Ventures, Alumni Ventures, Health 2047, and others.
November: Series A Round Closes at $22.5M
Completed Series A at $22.5 million with additional investors including Socium Ventures, Impact America Fund, Hopelab, University Growth Fund, and Luminary Impact Fund. Socium Ventures joins board of directors.
Geographic Expansion
Expanding footprint in Louisiana and Arizona, bringing services to under-resourced communities with high Medicaid populations.
