Kari Mader, MD, MPH, FAAFP
I chose to become a family physician because I believe every individual deserves not just excellent primary care, but care grounded in the context of their family and community. I have been fortunate to contribute toward that aim by providing full-spectrum family care including obstetrics in safety-net hospital and clinic settings thus far in my career. Yet, I have consistently seen the system fall short for the families that need it most and that compelled me to step into leadership.
From co-founding a safety-net clinic for uninsured patients to leading population health initiatives at an academic medical center, I have learned that great progress happens when a committed group of mission-oriented individuals intentionally partners with the community to listen and design practical solutions that work for them. That is what Nest is doing. I am thrilled to bring my passion and expertise to Nest, to contribute to a future where every child, parent and family has the holistic, personalized and accessible care they deserve.
